Registrations open for SA Championships in May in May.

Registrations are now open for the SA Championships, a 3-day tournament being held 23-25 May 2025, comprising Singles, Skinny Singles, Gender Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Hybrid Coed Doubles.
 
The tournament is an Australian Rankings tournament.
 
The tournament is being held on 20 indoor courts at the impressive Lights Community and Sports Centre.
The Centre is air-conditioned, offers ample free parking, and has a spacious cafe.
 
Whether you are relatively new to pickleball or a seasoned player, this tournament provides an opportunity for competitive play, offering a range of events to suit all skill levels and ages.
 
The tournament will kick off Friday morning (23rd) with 50+, 60+ and 70+ Men's and Women's Singles and Skinny Singles (hence you can only play one form of Singles).
Friday afternoon will see the 19+ and 35+ take to the courts for Singles and Skinny Singles.
Friday will wrap up with Men's and Women's Open Singles, the  Hybrid Para event, and the Split Age Mixed Doubles.
 
Saturday morning (24th) will be 50+, 60+ and 70+ Gender Doubles, with the 19+, 35+ and Open Gender Doubles being played on Saturday afternoon.
 
On Sunday (25th), we will have the Mixed Doubles, likely to be in the same order as the Gender Doubles.
 
Registrations close on 3 May 2025 at midnight ACST.
 
This is a Pickleball Australia SANCTIONED tournament using the IFP Official Rules of Pickleball.
 
Here are some key details for your tournament entry.
 
Registration Fees:
Early Bird Registration (Closes 11:59pm 29th March 2025) - $70 entry fee [includes first event], then $10 per additional event.
General Registration (Closes 11:59pm 26th April 2025) - $80 entry fee [includes first event], then $10 per additional event.
Last Registrations (Close 11:59pm  3rd May 2025) - $90 entry fee [includes first event], then $10 per additional event.
Service fees apply to all registrations.
 
- Events will start with round robin games in groups (either one game to 15 win by 2 or one game to 11 win by 2, depending on the size of the bracket) and move to elimination (one game to 15 win by 2). Medal matches are best 2 out of three games to 11 win by 2.
- Age categories are Open, 19+,35+, 50+, 60+ and 70+.
- Players of an older age can enter a lower age group event.
- Players of a lower skill can enter a higher skill category. Skill levels range from (2.99 and Under) to (4.0 and Above), depending on the event.
- Players are guaranteed three games in each event.
- Medals will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winning competitors for each bracket.
